SwiBot-SST Swibot-CALM |
Petra is used now (2009) with Didel and Bricobot robots, see www.didel.com/Petra.pdf
Obsolete stuff from here !

The SwibotSST and the Swibot-Calm are now a single product. The SST is controlled by another program that communicates in serial. A Basic Stamp or a program in any language on a PC. The Swibot-CALM does not need another processor: the 16F84 has 200 bytes left for your programs, written in CALM assembly language above the powerfull library of the Swibot.
The Swibot-SST is the solution if you need flexibility for adding your own sensors and doing the most interesting experiments. The programming in assembly language or in a compiled basic or C makes it easy to exploit all the resources of the processor. With the Stamp, 14 extension lines are available. DIDEL’s interface will use the Petra Bus, a multidrop bus that supports several miniature sensors like distance sensors, line following sensors, and even a linear camera.
The kit is delivered in a nice carrying case you can organize for carrying your Swibot and its accessories.
Swibot-Calm has the same easy construction as the Swibot-Stamp, but its reprogrammable PIC 16F84 is mulitask, executes 1 million istructions a second, and can handle many sensors and interfaces in parallel. Programming in assembler, compiled Basic or C just need any 16F84 programmer. Proposed programs will be documented in CALM, an assembler with clear notations supported by the SmileNG éditor and the PICsmart programmer proposed by DIDEL.
